Since 1992, Seven Gables had its start at refinishing furniture for residents and local businesses. Since then it has grown to add in the Upholstery end in 98' and then added the Native American Style Artwork. The business is constantly evolving and stretching but always has kept its customers input first. Seven Gables got its start in Greensboro, N.C. and then moved on to Anson County where the business was actually in the owners historic home ca.1928 in which the house had Seven Gables. The business is now located in Albemarle N.C.
Attention to detail is a priority. All furniture is handled in a way that does justice to the peice. Although it is difficult to have perfect results when some furniture is so far gone in disrepair, it is possible to even take the most flawed peice and make it look brand new. Seven Gables has spent years of dedication to make furniture look the best it possibly can within each peice's own limitation, while not destroying the value.

Yes, this is the same Cabinet.
One key factor for having great results is top quality materials. Seven Gables uses the finest fabrics and top quality paints, stains and various applications and methods for a professional appearance.
The styles of art is a blend that comes from all four corners of the U.S. Paintings of the Northwestern tribes, Jewelry made with beads from Southwest Arizona area and artifacts made from natural materials. We also make Native American Styled flutes from different woods.
The Native American flute has been around for thousands of years, and has changed little over this time. At Seven Gables Design, our goal in making a native style flute is to hand-carve them from start to finish, in order to make an authentic and beautiful sounding instrument, as well as a great looking one, that will last forever. We sell stock handmade flutes in a variety of keys and woods including Cedar, Maple, Oak, Walnut, Purpleheart, Zebrawood, Poplar, Bubinga, Yellowheart, Ash, Birch, Cherry, Mahogany, Padauk, etc. We also do custom work too.

the flute blocks are cut from nice tree
Two blocks of wood(top and bottem) are cut and then routed to a specifically and identically
Holes drilled and the inside is shaped with specific angled cuts, then trimmed, filed and sanded
This is a cedar drone being glued to sit overnight
This drone is trimmed down again, shaped or turned, sanded and polished smooth before
it is finished with several coats of clear. Then the fetish or the "bird" that sits on top is made
and then wrapped with leather to hold secure
This is the finished Drone flute in the key of G $200.00
This is my standard fatboy Cedar flute. It is in the key of G. Folks love it because it is a nice size
easy to play flute with a bright tone, and is very affordable - 75 bucks.
The purpleheart wood makes a wonderful tone. This one is in the key of F# and is easy to play.
This style of flute I call the "skinny-boy" because it is thin but makes a nice reverberation and can
handle the air coming in slow and fast. $150.00
This finished flute is in the key of E and is made of Ambrosia Maple for the body, Walnut on the mouthpeice, Walnut/Cedar bird, and Bunga/Purpleheart/Walnut on the end. $175.00
Flute prices depend on the type of wood used. They range from 50.00 for a poplar in the key of
high A, 100.00 to 200.00 for medium sized flutes depending on extras such as inlayed woods or
beadwork. Larger flutes or drones are basically around 300.00
